About Me
My name is Tim Norris, or Nozza, and I live in Northern Ireland. I am married to Shona…an amazing wife! We have a beautiful, fun-loving daughter who was born in September 2006 and her name is Sophie. I am very blessed!
I work for myself developing IT solutions (Perceptus Limited), but my passion is making Christ relevant to people, trying to help people realize that they have been created for a purpose that only they can fulfil.
It’s taken me a while to figure out what God-given passion lies in my heart, but through my life experiences so far I am really striving to break free from the preconceived ideas of Jesus. I want people to rediscover the real Jesus and what it means to follow him. I want other people to know that God has special little ‘missions’ for them to do, and that he has kitted us out especially for those missions. I want people to know that God actually listens to us and not only that, but speaks to us as well. I want people to know that being a Jesus Follower is not about following a list of rules - but means total freedom to live life to the full, pleasing to God. This is what makes my heart beat and what stirs my soul…and I want others to experience this as well.
I am a passionate sports person…my favourite sport being rugby, but following most sports. I don’t play anymore due to a back injury, but I can do most things if I take enough anti-inflammatories and pain-killers!
Things I like? I like to laugh … a lot! I like food, especially sweet stuff. I like a good action movie…but no horrors for me thanks - they give me the creeps. I like to read lots but just don’t have enough time. John Eldredge, Erwin McManus, Brennan Manning are some of my favourite writers along with John Ortberg and Bill Hybels. I like technology but because that’s my job I like to live a simple life when at home.
Things I don’t like? Fish, turkish delight, hypocrisy, apathy, horror movies, feeling helpless.
That’s me…if I discover anything more I will let you know.
And as Forrest Gump says…”That’s all I have to say ’bout that.”
