My first week as a Dad
Being a dad is hard work! I can’t think of how Shona is feeling, but I am exhausted. It’s not so much the lack of sleep that gets me, it’s the broken sleep. But I have to say that it’s all so worth it when I look into my daughter’s big dark blue eyes as she stares up at me. She really is beautiful and we both love her to bits.

I started back to work today which was wierd. Ok, I work from home so I don’t actually have to go anywhere, but it is hard when your wife and new child are in the same house and all you want to do is spend time with them.
I have just let Shona go to bed for a while to get some sleep. Sophie is sleeping in her Moses basket with some classical music playing…how cultured is she!! It seems to work so we are not going to argue.
I am reading a good book at the moment by Donald Miller, ‘Blue Like Jazz’. Not far into it but I like it a lot. I just have to find the time to read. Some times I would love to be paid to read books. I just love it…but don’t do enough of it.
What are you reading at the moment?

I hated the broken up sleep too…but believe me…it isn’t forever…it will just feel like it is!
I am reading guide books to London…we leave a week from today!

Hey Deana. Wow! A big trip ahead. How long are you in the Uk for? Are you doing any other parts of Europe? Is it for a holiday or is it for something else? Will you be voxing while you are away?
